RuleSpace's Web Categorization Solution Chosen by Bell Mobility for its Parental Control Service

Beaverton, Oregon (PRWEB) March 3, 2009 -- RuleSpace announced today that Bell Mobility will be using RuleSpace's web categorization data and technology for their Parental Control product for mobiles. This solution will enable parents to control access to inappropriate content on the Internet.

"Bell Parental Control is the first service in Canada that lets parents filter the content accessed through a mobile phone. As use of mobile Internet service grows, we have seen a demand for tools that help our customers manage access to content," said Adel Bazerghi, Senior Vice President of Products for Bell Mobility.

The solution uses RuleSpace's Web Categories Database of over 60 million URLs, as well as the RuleSpace real-time content recognition engines for mobile-formatted and traditional HTML content. The solution runs on Unipier's Intelligent Policy Manager (IPM) system. The Unipier system offers a context-aware policy creation environment for defining and managing any relevant content access policy. The system applies these policies in real-time using RuleSpace's content classification engine.

"As mobile phones become more and more practical and popular for Internet access by children, parents want protection for their children on these devices. We are extremely pleased to be able to participate with Bell Mobility to offer Parental Controls to their mobile customers," said James Dirksen, Vice President of Operations at RuleSpace.
